Russna Somal was born in Brampton, Ontario in 1991. Somal works in a variety of mediums including photography, painting, and drawing. She completed a BA with a major in Fine Arts: Studio Practice at The University of Waterloo in April 2013. She has exhibited works in Waterloo, Stratford and Vancouver, BC. During her time at the University of Waterloo, Somal was the curator of the on-campus student gallery, The Artery.
