Michele Van Maurik has enjoyed a successful career as both a commercial and fine artist for over 25 years. She has studied in New York under world renowned painter, Daniel Greene. Proficient in a variety of mediums, she works in Oils, Pastels and Acrylics. Michele is best known for her bold compositions, strong contrasts and use of light. She enjoys painting landscapes and florals. Much time is spent on the Black River in Muskoka where she finds inspiration. Her paintings are in private collections around Ontario, Alberta, South Beach, Holland and Italy. Michele currently resides in Oakville and enjoys painting and teaching out of her home studio.
